On the day of the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the Artists of the Polish Royal Opera invite you to a unique concert during which you will hear songs by an Austrian composer of Jewish origin – Viktor Ullmann (1898-1944).

Ullmann String Quartet at West London Synagogue, 10 Feb 2019
This evening we remember Viktor Ullmann, a victim of the Holocaust whose only surviving string quartet was composed in the Theresienstadt ghetto. This work is bookended by more familiar quartets by Haydn and Felix Mendelssohn.
